Meghan Markle Makes Significant Change to Her Ring Stack While Visiting Jordan With Prince Harry

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are visiting the Middle Eastern country on a two-day humanitarian visit.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in Jordan again today for the second day of their two-day humanitarian visit, and, while the Duchess of Sussex kicked off day one of their tour in head-to-toe white, she went a different direction on February 26, wearing head-to-toe black in contrast.

The couple visited World Central Kitchen in Amman, Jordan as their first stop of the day on Thursday, which serves as a logistics hub to coordinate aid for Gaza. Meghan wore a black three-quarter length shirt by Bleusalt, a thin black belt, wide-legged black pants, and black pointed-toe heels, her hair worn down and her makeup minimal. Notably, Meghan—who often wears a stack of bangles and a three-ring stack consisting of her engagement ring, wedding ring, and eternity band—opted for minimal jewelry, choosing to just wear her Welsh gold wedding band instead of her full stack. She also wore her Cartier Love bracelet throughout the trip.

Meghan’s engagement ring, designed by Harry with the help of Cleave & Company—Queen Elizabeth’s preferred jeweler—features a center stone sourced from Botswana, where Harry and Meghan fell in love over the summer of 2016, flanked by two smaller diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection. When Harry and Meghan sat down for their engagement interview on November 27, 2017, Harry said of his late mother—who died on August 31, 1997 when he was just 12 years old—that he wanted “to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together.” Originally, Meghan’s engagement ring had a solid yellow gold band, but by 2019, the band was upgraded to a micro-pavé band.

As is tradition for royal brides, Meghan wears a Welsh gold wedding band, and around their one-year wedding anniversary in May 2019, Harry gave Meghan an eternity ring encircled in diamonds. Their eldest child Prince Archie was born just days before their first wedding anniversary, and to commemorate that, her eternity band has the birthstones of Archie (emerald), Harry (sapphire), and her own (peridot) on the underside.

Harry and Meghan have a longstanding relationship with World Central Kitchen, founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s friend, chef José Andrés. “I consider them friends,” Andrés told People in 2025, adding of their humanitarian work, “I know they are in the spotlight—not just in America, but in Britain—and what I can tell you from what I know is that they don’t have to, but they decide to do it.”

While visiting World Central Kitchen, Harry and Meghan heard from staff about how mobile bakeries are being deployed to produce hundreds of thousands of loaves of bread each day for displaced communities, per Hello!. The couple heard from Wadhah Hubaishi, the organization’s response director for the Middle East and North Africa, who shared with them that the meal on Thursday was ochre and rice.

“This is one of our most delicious meals for the Gaza people,” he said. “Within two hours, we will start distributing the food. We need 20 trucks [of supplies] every day from Egypt. Not enough trucks are coming in—that really affects us more than any other actor.”
